“Minimalize” Your Home

Have you ever thought about trying out the minimalistic lifestyle?

I have good news for you!

It doesn’t have to be all white walls and sleek furniture. You can be a minimalist while also letting your house look like someone lives there. Here are 2 steps that I took to minimize.

  1. Start with your bathroom. Under your sink especially. We tend to collect things under there that we never use. Throw out anything that you don’t use everyday, put aside the things that you use occasionally, and organize the everyday essentials. Then move to your makeup vanity and throw out all of the expired stuff, because let’s be honest, wearing expired makeup is like sleeping in an alcohol mask. Keep only what you use everyday. I like to use these glass jars from Amazon for bathroom organization because they are super cute and functional. 2. Move to your kitchen. I like to start with my spice cabinets. Start by looking at expiration dates. You will find that a lot of the things hiding back there are expired. Toss those bad boys. Then move on to the things you bought 6 months ago for your cousins birthday cake that you will never use again. Set a system in place, either get a spice ladder or a spinning rack. The biggest objective in this whole process is to be able to see it all. We accumulate things without realizing when we can’t see everything. Here are a few of my favs from my kitchen.

At the end of the day, you will be thankful for having a less cluttered home, less to look through to find that box of noodles.

Also, don’t forget to dust those shelves while they are empty!
